Hickory City Schools is proud to announce the outstanding achievement of Viewmont Elementary School in the recent Battle of the Books competition. The Tuesday, April 9th event saw fierce literary battles among elementary schools, including Jenkins, Longview, Oakwood, and Viewmont Elementary.
The competition served as a platform to showcase the remarkable literary prowess of young minds and the dedication of their coaches. Viewmont Elementary School's team demonstrated exceptional knowledge and enthusiasm for literature, securing a decisive victory.
With this win, Viewmont Elementary School's team will progress to the next stageā€”the Region 7 Elementary Battle of the Books, scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 25th, at iChurch. The regional competition will feature representatives from eight school districts and promise an intense battle of intellect and literary expertise.
This accomplishment underscores Viewmont Elementary School's commitment to fostering academic excellence and promoting a love for reading among its students.
